672 Consumer behavior toward aging skin

Background: The global market for anti-aging products was estimated to be worth $58.5 billion in 2020 and is projected reach $88.3 by 2026 [1], suggesting that aging skin a growing concern consumers. This study aims understand consumers’ attitudes behavior toward age-related changes. Methods: A cross-sectional survey administered online through REDCap. Eligible participants (English-speaking ages 18 years or older) were recruited consented ResearchMatch. Results: total of 1434 recruited. 15% (216/1434) 18-30, 28% (408/1434) 31-50, 56% (810/1434) 51+. 19% (272/1434) identified as men, 78% (1125/1434) women, 3% (37/1434) genderqueer. top three treatments consumers seek changes include: 1) skincare (39%; 560/1434), 2) dietary supplements (17%; 238/1434), 3) spa treatment (9%, 126/1434). More are interested trying Botox, fillers, treatment, laser plastic surgery the future. Most (74%; 1064/1434) report goal pursuing prevent slow progression further third (33%; 486/1434) also want eliminate reverse their care about some degree. 31% (446/1434) slightly, 29% (420/1434) moderately, (268/1434) lot treatments. factors influence choices order cost (67%; 956/1434), recommendation from dermatologist (54%; 768/1434), ingredients (697/1434), 4) invasiveness procedures (43%; 616/1434). spend between $1-500 per month (75%; 1072/1434).
